Anwar Needs Not Spend His Weekend in Jail

KUALA LUMPUR 7 March - After being found guilty of sodomising his former aide in 2008, the opposition leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's stay of jail sentence pending appeal with bail of RM10,000.

Justice Balia says the application of stay of execution is allowed, and the pending appeal with bail need to be post the latest by 11am on Monday.

Previously, the court having heard what the counsel told the court and has found the Permatang Pauh MP is guilty.
